Stacks on Stacks on Stacks

A wedding ring stack on top of a barrel in the sunset light, the rose gold engagement ring with a pear-shaped yellow, pink, and green opal surrounded by small diamonds. The groom's wedding band is black and gray with a glittery middle.

Ring stacks are always some of my favorite shots when a gallery is all done and dusted! It’s also so nice in the middle of a busy wedding day to take a step away and get creative with detail shots of such an integral symbol to the couple. As the party goes on around me, I can take a moment to play around and arrange the rings on this day, the first that they are placed on the hands they will remain upon forever (until, perhaps, they are passed down to future generations of newlyweds). These rings have been personally selected by this couple to represent their unending love for one another. Whether they’re the most expensive rings I have ever handled (and give me anxiety to hold until they’re safely back onto the bride and groom’s fingers) or the most simple of jewelry, they are all so beautiful and meaningful to me. And, I’m sure, to the couple who are to wear them for the rest of their lives.
